I've decided to try and get my sketching back up to scratch, but without using references. Lately my imagination has been going WILD and i've come into possession of  a graphics tablet for the first time. This thing has really made me get creative a lot more than i usually am on this. You'd normally be lucky to see one of my uploads every 6 months... but now i'm really sticking to what i say.

From here till i decide otherwise, i will be uploading at least 1 sketch a night. Hopefully till at least the end of the year. I want my drawing skills to really improve. There was a drawing created by :kitayumu: that is of our monster hunter guild. Unfortunately she's quite the procrastinator, so until she starts it, i want to take it upon myself to try and finish it for her.

Off topic, lifes been pretty good. I've just not had a need to come on here properly in a while. Hopefully you'll hear from me again, soon.

In case any  of you were wondering where i've been (not that i actually think you will), I've been working my ass off. Haha.. I now officially work for tesco's in dundee 5 days a week, and in my spare time i do graphics and web designs freelance for folk who want it. As you can imagine i've not really had much time to myself, but after coming back on here and realising the number of comments and things that i've just left, well... i just figured it was about time to update my journal on here. Don't expect much.

I have a plan. I might upload it as it goes along.

Hi everyone. This is just me letting you know i'm still alive and kicking

i've been hard at work doing lots of different things for uni and working hard like a good student should. Yup. Modern Warfare 2 is the class and i've passed with flying colours. The thing is like crack. So much so that i've only been able to do personal work while i've been away from home. Though not kalm ;D

i've been working on  a blitzball stadium D i have to say that the results at the moment are look absolutely fantastic. And i really wanna put some renders up, but unfortunately it's not quite perfect and needs just a little bit of work. i'm still trying to decide what it could be used for though. Animation definately, but a few of my friends have got me into thinking about possibly making it into a proper game.

I do have the software for it, as does my university, so its not entirely impossible, so the ideas out there.

But for the animation, what i'm looking for is ideas. Anything at all
as long as it involved the blitz stadium the entire time. i'm also looking for character models, so if anyone has any ideas at all feel free to post them in this

right. moving on, my uni work has grinded to a halt because of my gaming addiction to modern warfare 2, but not just that. Bloody Magic: The Gathering on xbox live arcade. Jesus i forgot how addictive that game is and now it's even doubly because it's on my favourite console at the click of a button. I was sceptical... but it DID actually turn out to work pretty damned well

Also, fuck year fucked sleeping patterns! So with that, i'm off for some sleep.

Putting my last post of absolute insanity aside, i've decided to take it upon myself to use this as my medium in order to document my progress in learning 3D design. Over the course of the next few weeks i will be putting up a large number of print screens, images, renders, and just plain ideas so that it's of easy access to show people. I'm looking for the support of others, and hoping that by doing this i can:

1 - Actually use Deviantart successfully and not just come on, erase messages and come off >.>;

and 2 - to see if i can get some insight into the way that i create things in the hopes that i might be able to improve my work.

Thats the plan anyway... however i'm one of the worst planners in the world. I'm the kind of person who plans a time to meet up with a friend at 2pm and sleeps until almost 3pm. hurrr....


But yes. Thats the plan. I'm listening to ideas that would be good to attempt and learn from.

HELLO. My name is Daniel. A lot of you have favourited the only decent piece of work that i have, my shadow the hedgehog pixel art. Bare in mind... that was from almost over 4 years ago O.O
my interests have moved since then, however it doesn't mean i don't like pixel art. i've found myself playing with it a little during my latest little project, more if which i will mention soon.






SO YEAH. On the off chance anyone actually reads this... what happened to me? o:
Well, simply put, i bored myself to death in high school, failing exams, before getting onto an HNC course on sheer photoshop talent alone. You'll notice that there is nothing on my deviantart related to me and my photoshop abilities... its cause thats what i've been doing xD

Since the last update on here many moons ago, my photoshop skills have improved impressively, and they managed to get me into a 1st year uni equivelant course at college without the need of any highers, which was pretty impressive in my oppinion xD

since then, i've done numerous things. Moving out, Moving back in, Carrying on with coursework, learning different things, losing and making new friends... the usual life things that happen when you are going through it.

Now however, i've hit a definitive crossroad in my life. I'm finally getting a chance to go somewhere and do something great. Edinburgh uni is something i'd never thought about until i got it into my brain that it was a damned good idea.

i've done a multitude of things since then, including designs and web application development. Deviantart has always been agood source of helpfull tutorials and resources, and maybe i'll start putting things up soon so that you can get an idea of the things that i create. i have no drawing talent whatsoever, but i do have an amazing eye for detail.

Since last year, i have been part of a group developing machinima among other things. This group is called "Machimedia" and i recommend you join our forums. Just now, we only have halo stuff up at the moment, however i'm working on a little project on the side which involves RPG maker and Flash with a couple of members and the test video for this looks damned good, i must say. it works flawlessly.

This project has allowed me to think about my pixel art i used to do, such as shadow the hedgehog and thus i've gotten slowly back into the swing of things.

i've also become a little bit of a photographer as well.. i might start putting up some good pictures up on here.... eventually much like the rest of my work xD

not only this, but i'm lucky enough to have a beautiful girlfriend who means the world to me.

but yeah... thats pretty much me. The gaming/anime/geek who loves his girl and works on too many projects at once causing mental degedation.
